My employer is a well established company and is a member of the TA. Apparently there’s about a 60 other haulage companies dotted around the UK that are also members.

I average 3 nights out a week and have often parked up in a TA members yard for hassle free, secure parking.

I just wondered if other members of trucknet.uk do the same.

We all got TA stickers put on our trucks but never got told the benefits.

Seen the stickers but never knew you could do that. Isn’t that a good idea now?

Have been saying that for ages that they should make arrangements with other companies for secure parking, but they havent told us if they have!!

Most, but not all members allow parking at night. Invariably you can use the facilites too (most yards have showers nowadays).

I either contact the TA member personally to ask if it’s ok to park or alternatively get the office to “book” me in for the night.

Also, if the wagon develops a problem, it’s an option to take it to a fellow TA members workshop. Same applies to refuelling…

There’s lots of well established member firms whom have a lot to benefit from the knowledge of shared, secure parking.
