Anyone want a days work from Coleshill tomorrow, £200 or a grand for the week tramping?

Flat work.

Experience preferred but…

Cue 3 pages of I wouldn’t get out of bed for that, etc etc.
Good luck finding someone decent on here, amongst the
dreamers, wannabes and rent-a-gobs that seem to be in the
majority.

that seems very good…

Aye, can’t give money away at the mo. No agency lads at all. People are on holiday & with some of the old guard retiring to avoid DCPC next month, interesting times ahead.

It’s that bad experience is only preferred? :open_mouth:

Gobsmacked folk have let you down for that sort of money.

I’d do it…

Pimpdaddy:
I’d do it…

You know what if you’ve read the regular wage on the owner forum in the employees thread & still want to go, PM me & we’ll talk.

I presume you’re a grafter.

I don’t know about that, personally I think I am but most complain, I’m quiet & like to be left alone to get on with my things, the job will be done safely & efficiently to the best of my abilities.

You couldn’t hack Tesco work for more than 2 mins before throwing in the towel and whining to anyone who’ll listen    so it’ll be interesting to see how you go on with doing flatbed work which is a whole lot more hassle than Tesco work ever was.

Id say it’s tesco I couldn’t stand, not the work (I’ve never worked for them direct), I have no experience in flatbed work so I think it’s safe to say I won’t get the chance to ever do it.

I use to love flat pat work when we were allowed to do it proper with ropes and sheets back scotches etc every load a challenge. each load of machinery would be like a epileptic on steroids being calmed under a canvas tarp

that’s quite a descriptive bit of writing there

Pimpdaddy, I’m almost certain that you don’t need me as a lifestyle coach for you, but please allow me to pass on some genuine, friendly advice to you. Most of your posts consist of why you’ll never get job (a) or why job (b) won’t suit you, it’s all negative all the time and I’m almost certain that if you ever got to the interview stage for any job whatsoever that’d be more than apparent to the interviewer.

My advice to you would be to step way TF out of your comfort zone and try everything before saying you can’t do it (better to try and fail than never try at all). So instead of checking Co’s websites and sending a speculative cv in, get your ■■■ down there and knock on some doors. Don’t be so hard on yourself all the time.

Remember, as the great Bard Baz Lurman said “do something every day that scares you”.

i think thats excellent money, and a great shame its not closer to me, i would rip your hands off for that sort of money, and it cant be that bad a job whether its a flatbed or not.

Ok. A friend once said the exact same thing to me over a drink a few months ago, he’s doing very well now bless him:)

All good saying that but everyone’s personal & financial issues that don’t always allow. Another thing people fail to understand is that an opportunity has to be presented unto one’s self in order to ‘give it a try’, if no opportunities are available then what can you do?

I don’t think I’m being hard on myself, I have gone & knocked on doors in person & it hadn’t yielded any results:(

if you get stuck and this lad ive got coming for an interview is any good :unamused: you can have my unit and driver no probs at all

To be honest pimp, you’d be better off getting a parcel trunking job or some such to ramp the experience up.

I nearly killed a woman who cut me up today.

She didn’t mean it but it’s the worst I’ve ever had. Maybe one 12 years ago on the m42, I was empty then so just saved it but I had weight on today, I nearly filled my pants, I’m still twitching now, 6 hours later.

No contact but it got me thinking, if I’d have hit a car to my side by avoiding a fatal rear end I presume the person I avoided killing would pay on their insurance for all damage if I had camera evidence?

I’ll post the footage at the weekend if I can work out how to do it.

Is that to me? That’s very kind of you sir if so. I did think about posting if anyone wanted traction work to help this week but I’ve been so flat out, I haven’t had chance. I had the trots at 4 am on Tuesday as well which left me shivering for a day or two.
