I know someone who a few years ago got a job on the fridges. He got a lovely big topline v8. I had a r470 topline on the tippers. I got roughly £50 quid a week more. Granted it was dirty hard work. He said to me that he was happier being clean and having a bigger wagon. Oh yeah and his boss had bought him a coffee maker and a fridge because his wagon only had a microwave. Wow that’s good I said. Yep I just used the fuel card and the boss takes the money back at 20 quid a week. Yay brilliant.

Luckily, My truck came with a Coffee Maker in the Kitchen pack, and I’m definitely not paying out off My wages for it The only time I had that option, as in what truck do you want, and it’ll come out of your percentage

They are both usually on the newbie section talking complete bollox,any wannabee driver who goes on the newbie section for the first time must thing driving is the worst job in the world and most drivers are complete ■■■■■ with some of the stuff they spout
Calm down kids, I don’t spend my life on here waxing lyrical.
Some people have different takes and observations about the conditions drivers have…is that a problem to you all?
Is having only good things to say about trucking a prerequisite to being a member here or something? Part of the reason I get frustrated with this industry is my colleagues, drivers are their own worse enemies.
As for me and volly being the one guy that’s easy get the site owner to look at the ip adds mein is in Germany.

By your own logic YOU yourself would be a hypocrite if you ever moaned about ANYTHING and yet continued to do it even if you did have other choices. I know it’s hard for some folk but try thinking man.
There are many reasons why I might choose to continue doing something I have no great enthusiasm for.

When I started in 1988 I had a day cab and a piece of foam across the seat but then you could get cheap digs and know your wagon was safe parked over night it took me 2 years to get a sleeper cab no fridge or microwave provided your own stove happy days

Never had the pleasure off nighting out in a day cab, but the G290 Renault was not exactly adorned with space, used one off those for 2 years on tramping
Sent me out once in a day cab with a drop down bunk you couldn’t sit up also a work of art getting in to it didn’t use it
