Looking at becoming a tramper and just rent a room for the weekends and keep renting here in Tenerife. I have a few questions.
What kind of weekly pay would I expect as a tramper after deductions?
Obviously every one is paid differently, just gives me an idea.
Would I need to stay at a truck stop?
What kit would I need with me?
Does anyone else rent a room over the weekends?

Why don’t you look at getting a job with the Euro boys such as almost any Irish firms that pull fridge trailers, companys from the fishing ports of Scotland, Brian Yeardleys down in Fetherstone and be away from 2 week upto about 8 week at a time with Yeardleys.
Why don’t you just book into a premiere inn or something…Could be about the same price as renting…Depending on what part of the country you thinking of going too
Exactly, renting a room in digs will be min 250 quid plus bills to about 300 if you live in mid UK. In the midlands or south a room in anything not a dive 300-350. If you do less than 8 nights a month maybe worth going premier Inn. At least you get your bed done, breakfast etc. If this is just for 1/2 nights at a time say.
Yeah I have looked in to Premier Inn’s to be honest or a Travel Lodge.
