I have been doing some research into training providers to do my C+E and intend on doing this as part of my resettlement package prior to leaving the military. I believe I have found a good training provider that specialises in resettlement training for forces personnel that are nearing the end of their contract.
Could anyone tell me if ‘Ritchies Transport Ltd’ in Glasgow are any good, anyone gone through them themselves?
They seem to offer a great package that fits in with the funding thats being provided for me, so curious to know if anyone has any views on them as a training provider.
They are on the recommended list on here
Have heard good thing about them think a few members have used them
Yeah they have the green light and a few people on here have sat their test with them and I believe are currently sitting their tests with them.
Having said all that, what’s right for one person may not appeal to you.
Go book an assessment drive and see how you get on.

Thanks for the info. The main reason for possibly going with them is that i can get C+E, PCV, HIAB, ADR and a weeks IOSH course. I will also get my CPC, accommodation and all meals included with the only cost being my Hazard perception and theory test for my PCV.
Seems like a good deal for me, even though i live in East Anglia and they are in Glasgow. Struggling to find training providers that can offer that kind of package around my area.

If I said that about PSTT you would still suggest an assessment drive though wouldn’t you?
done some tranning with them couple of weeks ago and totally recommened them and there was was quite a few army lads in aswell
your picked up everyday and droped off at your accommodation (well so i was told by one of the trainers)
one big advantage is all test’s are done out of there own yard 
oh and keep away from old man ritchies DUGS they aint the friendliest 
but if there any questions you think i mite be able to answer give us a shout
Well, my resettlement advisor has rejected my leave request for the driver training with ‘Ritchies’ due to them having problems with the MOD in the past. Apparently they are no longer an approved training provider with the MOD. Been advised to look at GTG (also based in Glasgow), looking at their website they look very professional and can offer the same training package as Ritchies.
Has anyone here been through GTG before?
I remember a thread around Xmas time from someone training with GTG. As I’m on my mobile it’s not easy to search.
