Hi guys, I got a text from work asking me to do training last week on a Saturday. it was not for a cpc course but is relevant to my work, as without this ticket I can’t go on to job sites. I told them I had worked the below last 3 weeks. week 4 is when they asked me on the Wednesday to go on the course. work is 7am start every Monday finish 5pm. I told them I couldn’t do the course. Was I correct in doing this? First week was on a vehicle not on the o licence and I was on log book, but week 2, 3 and 4 was a mix of digi and log book vehicles.
WEEK Mon Tue Wed Thur Fri Sat Sun
1 W W W W W W OFF OFF
2 W W W W W W W til 2pm OFF
3 W W W W OFF W W til 3pm OFF
4 W W W W W W course 9-4 OFF

Is the first W of each week an error as it seems to make 8 days a week…

That first W apart it seems to me that a regular weekly rest needs to be taken at the end of week 4
Week 1 was all non EU regs so the sat + sun off at the end of that week can be the regular weekly rest for week 2
Reduced weekly rests were taken at the start and end of week 3 so the first one can be used as the reduced for week 3 with the one at the end of week 3 used as payback for the first with all payback sorted
Week 4 now needs a regular weekly rest so you either need to take off sat + sun or work sat and return on mon not before 1pm
ok great, i was getting confused with thinking my working week having to be fixed to mon-sun so that my 45 couldn’t go over to the following Monday for that last week. but because I paid back on the Friday/sunday I am ok? brain fried lol sorry.

There are two weekly sets of rules
1 Fixed week = sunday midnight to sunday midnight
2 Between weekly rests = that goes by a number of hours not days, nights or week
Gets a little confusing as each fixed week must have a weekly rest IN it but IN can mean as little as 1 minute so a weekly rest that starts 1 minute before sunday midnight or finishes 1 minute after can be used for the fixed week ending or the fixed week starting but not both
