Well looking to start my training for class C but dont really know who to train with had so many book lets from people after my money, i.e sterling(no chance after what i ve heard on here) easyHGV, Pathway these really stick out anybody know anything about them or used them■■?
Anyone used the local centres in Stoke??
Sids/Transed??
Have never done training there but has some dealing with SIDs.
They came across as a professional outfit to me- best advise is to go and see them
Always get a better idea face to face
If you click the link in my signature or this avatar pic it will lead you to an index where you can access a lot more info which may be of use to you
To book any LGV training I suggest the trainee-to-be, visits the training school, meets the head person(s) and has a quick look at the truck BEFORE parting with any money.
Using the site Search facility and putting the words TRAINING AND WHERE you wish to train may turn up some recommendations.

As for national training companies - I suggest you read THIS
Sids are based in Burntwood, Staffs . They are what is left of British HGV, as British sold the training side of things to Sids. When i was doing my Class 1 , the instructor that was working for them at the time was a bit of a foghorn, and was always shouting at the student (tbh id have floored the instructor after 5 mins of it).
There is another Training company from Cannock. Grants of Cannock , I highly rate him, as he got me through both my C and C+E first time.
www.grantsofcannock.co.uk (Dont let the picture of the Artic fool you, Its definitely a Wagon + Drag (Trailer) .
I know Chunky (Grant) does travel to meet students that arent local sometimes, so might be worth a look.
Anyway GL with your training, and if your looking to go with anyone in particular, most places will give you a free initial assesment (This helps you see what you are paying for, and also helps them judge how much training you may need)

It is my opinion, and that of most others on this site, that when doing C+E, you train in the TYPE of vehicle that you are likely to be driving in your first C+E job and in the greater majority of cases, that means ARTIC and not W&D.

The Sids your talking about is not the one based in Stoke-
Skills in Distribution is based in Corbridge, Stoke on Trent
I did my class c with Sids at Stoke. They seemed like a good bunch (once the office staff got my start times sorted).
See if you can get a brummie fella called Rob, real nice guy who used to train the trainers, knows his stuff. They also use an old runway near Eccleshall for the reversing, its set up exactly as the test centre. No using car parks with old cones & strips of wood as some others use.
