please expand…
I am doing my training with a highly repututal company, that are DSA reg (such as yourself) so are equally trained in my opinion.
Firstly, the very best with your training and test - that’s the main thing for you at the moment without a doubt!
I will happily expand:
DSA Accredited Centre - - a hell of a lot more than just DSA reg instructors (although that’s a really good thing)
Private driving test centre
New, purpose built trucks
Individual (1:1) tuition at flexible times
Prebooked tests so minimal delays
Free vehicle for a retest if you need it
Nearly 40 years experience
Maybe the saying that “not all training is the same” could just be true.

just done my CPC mod 4 with Peter Smythe and it is a very well set out place. Everything is in one place so no messing around to and from the test centre. Its all done on site.
Tuition is excellent from the guy i had, went through everything as many times as you needed him too and overall result was a 100% pass. Cant ask for more than that, apart from a coffee when we had froze our nuts off for 3 hrs!!Peter, make note
Would defo recommend to anyone who is starting to train.

Thanks mate. Pleased to see that the efforts we make are appreciated! And well done on the pass (I wasn’t onsite when you did it so it’s a bit late!)

The most common question people ask when enquiring about HGV entitlement is ‘how much will this cost me?’ Price should always be a concern but not the most important factor. Using a training company that runs well maintained vehicles and employs qualified DSA Instructors should be the first question any wannabe HGV Driver asks.
But also can you get me to standard & pass 1st time
It seems the price changes from place to place. You can find cheaper places that offer good effective HGV training. I stumbled on http://www.hgvtrainingprices.org.uk but it only states what it can cost. The best way to find good reputable HGV Training and what prices were paid is by word of mouth.

Training companies are commercial enterprises and there will always be price variations between them. The clever customer has to determine what is worth paying for and what isn’t. eg IMO paying to use a new, purpose built truck and being trained by a fully qualified and registered instructor are worth paying for.
Paying for massive Google fees, fancy offices - - how does this aid your training?
We have never been particularly cheap - we would not be in business now if that had been the case. What matters is value rather than price. We have now devised a course which is 25% cheaper than our normal course. It’s not exactly the same course but it’s a very economical option for those who would like it. It works on the basis that overhead costs have already been covered and this course is, as a result, less expensive for us to run.
So it’s very important for newbies to have a really good look around and ask questions. At the risk of being boring, never part with money unless you have strong recommendation or you’ve visited the centre and met the people/seen the equipment and the set up.
With respect, I can never compete with the unqualified instructor running a 12 year old beaten up truck that drives like a bag of ■■■ parked up in a pub yard and using an airfield 20 miles away for reversing.
But good luck to those who want to save £100 by using people like that.
Unless you go and look - how will you know??
Any reputable trainer will be happy - and proud - to show you around. If there’s hesitation in that offer, you need to hesitate with the credit card. There’s so many tales of woe on this site and others and it’s time newbies were a bit more careful.
All the best, Pete

There has also been comments about the website mentioned above. It’s a front for a broker I believe.
That’s how easy it is to get sucked in!!
