I am starting training on Mon 14 with Eastern,s in brum. Taking Kalms by the shovel full but am really looking forward to it as well, my test will be on Sat 19th at Garretts Green. If you see me out and about in blue Scania box van with Eastern LGV plastered all over it give me a toot (and also a wide berth :smiley: )

Best of luck with it - the Scania is pretty good, takes a little bit of getting used to the gearbox, but if you take it easy it is a nice truck to drive. Normally there is a chance I would see you out and about, but I think I will be shunting in Atherstone all next week, so unless you take a lot of wrong turnings then I should be safe !!!

Good luck Ant on your training and enjoy it.

The scannia you will be driving is A1.When i went for my training they were 5 of us and no one wanted to learn in the scannia apart from me.The scan has the 4 over 4 box and believe me this is the ideal truck to prepare in for your HGV future.Hopefully in the next few weeks i will be back at eastern doing my class 1 in it with the trailer hooked up at the back.

Certainly is, was doing normal store runs until I was on standby on Thursday - and have been shunting since. Not in there yourself at the moment are you â– â–

No sorry mate I used to do the christmas pressure at BHS, spend some time with the kids then go back onto continental in january but I haven’t been in there for a couple of years now. :wink:
