Training course booked

Guys,

So I’ve booked my 3 day course next week, I am also doing my mod 4 just before my practical test. My question is I’m aware the mod 4 test is £55 but I’ve been charged a further £168, I’ve queried this and the response is that my driver trainer will allocate 1hour a day to train me fot the mod 4 test! I think I’ve been fiddled as surely that would be the fee if I was to do the mod 4 another day.

Advice please

Cheers

Takes about 1 hour to train for mod 4 and that along with looking at the online videos will easily get you through it

TBH much of the mod 4 training can be done along with the daily vehicle checks before setting out

I think you are wrong there rog

It takes longer than 1 hour to do a proper job.

Just make sure that the time that should be used to concentrate on your driver training is not being used to go over the mod 4 training.

I allow 2 hours minimum for Mod 4 training. Anything less must involve cutting corners and that’s a dodgy business and unfair to the candidate.

Burnie has a valid point about the use of driver training time for Mod 4. Driver training time is considerably more expensive than Mod 4 and it’s quite wrong for that time to be used in that way IMO. Clearly, knowledge for the daily checks should be properly taught during driver training time as it is part of that course and test. But the rest of it is a separate matter which should be dealt with as such.

But I would have thought that the OP should direct his query to the training provider.

When I said 1 hour that was for specific training if done within the mod 3 course because more is covered during the start checks

Burnie is right, it’s not right to sacrifice driving time for the module 4.

I send the candidate home with the revision material then on the day of the mod 4 test I spend approx 1 hour going through it.
