Training Class C / CE - Rock Solid Recommendation

Hi all,

I’m fairly new to the forum and so far, really impressed with all the info and tips available. So with that subject in mind, here’s mine…

I did my class C in Swindon just over 5 years ago and the training was dire. I mean to say, I was there (along with another trainee) to learn the ropes and become familiar with the handling of the truck and procedures etc. The company that provided the training was poor and I discovered after a short while (through the grapevine) that it was not viewed as very professional by industry. So after passing, I decided to undertake my CE and instead did some more homework on whom to train with - I opted for a chap called Tim Williams (based in Gloucester) and thoroughly enjoyed my training with him. Tim holds a calming personality and makes a trainee feel relaxed yet responsible and it was good fun learning through his incredible insight about the industry. I believe his first-time pass rates are above average.

Just recently (about two-weeks ago) I returned to do some ‘refresher’ training with him and he still provides excellent training, good facilities, clean vehicles and good value for money.

For anyone thinking about starting a new career or like me, wants to do some top-up training - it doesn’t get much better in my opinion.

It’s good to get recommendations. I am sure a moderator will add it to the list in due course.

They are already on the list under UNIVERSAL

It seems the two companies are linked

The business is run by two brothers - Tim and Paul - I’ve had no dealings with Paul so can’t comment either way.

Hey Cruise, it is true that Accredited Driver Training is necessary for professional driving lessons. You can take recommendations from moderator or other training experts.

Why the link to an Australian site?
