Training and test on motorway

Is any part of class 1 or 2 training and test conducted on a motorway? If not do you think it should be?

Cheers

I think you have motorway post tourettes Dan.

No and no,the motorway is basically a duel carrigeway as far as we are concerned as the outside lane has no relevance to us.
Also I think they keep off motorways on test because of the possibility of getting caught in a traffic jam which would throw out all the days tests.
You instructor may take you into the motorway just for a change of scenery.

Yes you can be taken on a motorway whilst on training and test. I use motorways during training.

…" Duel carriageway…"

An area of tarmac where one takes 20 paces and then upon turning around, discharges ones pistol at the enemy.

I have in class 2 and class 1. One of the easy bits imo - just float along

How cute, did someone get spell check for their birthday?..
I could edit my post but I’ll leave it for your comedy value

yeah i went on a motorway on my test, was told not to overtake anything as we were coming off next exit.

Suppose it massively depends on where in the country you are,our local motorway would see you spend your whole test doing little over 20mph for 6 miles between junctions (M6 South Birmingham)

ckm1981-no harm meant chap. It made me chuckle. Had visions of two goatee bearded truckers firing pistols at dawn on the M62.

I got edible undies for my birthday.

Been a long day

We sometimes get M1 junc 29 to 28 but not a lot since the 50 limit has been in force.

I use slip roads on and off the A38 to mimic joining/leaving the motorway rather than waste time trundling along in the current traffic jams on the M1.

Pete

I had 2 different motorways on my class 1 and 3 on my class 2, I think it just depends on where you’re test centre is located.

Weedon test centre has 3 of their test routes which include the M1

It could well be a DUEL and not a DUAL if you get two trucks elephant racing

Here in Norfolk it takes over an hour to get anywhere near a motorway
