Sounds expensive, they’ll basically lend you the money & charge you double for the pleasure.
Watch out, it’s like when you buy a car & the thieving salesman asks you how much you can afford each month, you say £200 & he sells you a 5 grand motor for £200 per month, but floats over the bit where it says how long the loan is for-ie 5 years @ £200 per month =£2400 per year x 5 =£12,000.
As the yanks say- Do the Maths. (With a silent S)
The only company I’ve seen who offer train now pay later is a broker, you’d be better off going direct to a training company rather than a broker.
As far as finance is concerned, what happens if you can’t get a job after the training, or get a job that doesn’t pay enough to keep up the repayments on the loan you take out for the training.
We offer interest free credit, subject to status, on full courses. The “status” requirements are:
Must hold a credit (not debit) card
Must pay own utility bills (phone ok)
Must be in full time work
Payment is over 4 months. 4 equal payments. 1st on booking and following 3 are taken on credit card on a date to be agreed over the following 3 months. No set up charge. No interest. No catch. Easy.
To be clear, we are NOT brokers.

Steer clear unless like me your skint I did my training with this provider and I’m paying a lot with interest hopefully when I start working I will pay it all off in 1 shot. I received 24hrs training two tests and initial cpc over 4 years I pay £75 a month works out about 3500£ and when you realise that these people don’t have there own schools you fail and want to book direct no chance you have to pay the premium broker rate
J coates in the guildford area offer 0% finance wish I went with them now

Bit of a numpty
If you have any credit cards offering you a 0% facility this would be a much better way of funding it, or even a bank loan. Will probably cost less and let you pick your own trainer.
As said sound like a broker stay clear go direct
You cold just do the old fashioned way & save up for it

That is good advice - you could switch the amount to another zero interest credit card when the interest is about to kick in
When I did mine many years ago I did two hours each Saturday and paid on the day do any trainers still do this?
Yes. But IME it ends up costing more because of the stuff that begins to slip from one week to the next. Not recommended but it suits some.

Hello all and thank you for all your replys, i think i will try and find the money some other way, pay less and choose for my self the training provider.
thanks again Rog1
What I did was book my medical myself (to get the Cat C provisional) then a few weeks later I booked My Theory and Hazard Perception. Again, a couple of weeks later I booked my CPC case studies before I even chose a trainer. That way, I could get those bits and bobs out of the way in my own time, when I could afford it and without any pressure.
I then went for an assessment drive (which was free, I’ve heard some charge) so they could tell me how much training they thought I needed (in my case 18 hours because I had bus and coach experience) then they worked out how much it would cost. I took the quote, which I was happy with then worked out when I would be able to pay it by. They were happy to take deposits up until the day. They basically said that as long as I’m paid up by the day of my first lesson, I could pay what I wanted, when I wanted. I was fortunate enough to be able to pay a big chunk on the day of my assessment, then I paid the rest just at the end of January. I booked my lessons for this week based solely around my pay day. If I couldn’t do it this way I would have saved.
Just my 2 pence worth
Glad that’s worked for you. It’s quite a common way of sorting it as many folks just don’t have the odd thousand or so laying around doing nothing!

hello chaps
newbie here I done my cat C from start to finish in 3 months it cost me £1650 thats with my ,medical, block booking 16hrs both tests and both cpc module 2 and 4 ,which i passed them all first time thanks fudge ,
the biggest. cost was the cpc module 4 realy as the test was only £55 but you have to pay for the truck and a bit of practice for 4 hrs
I just thought id post to get the idea of a cash price , this is in the northwest A driving school called Town & Country HGV Merseyside,
So evan a small bank loan would be better
I think, including tests, medicals and things I’ve bought for reference such as DVSA books etc, that I’ve spent just shy of 1500 quid.

That’s easy to figure out, he stated that he’s paying over 4 years, you state that payment is made by credit card in 3 payments!
