Trailer ratchet brakes

What a pain in the bum.
I had a tyre change on the trailer in Bolton, so raised the air up full so the fitter could get access.
Went to deeside pulled in at my drop and as soon as I got out the cab I smelt brakes burning then saw smoke from the middle rear axle
The hubs where to hot to touch both sides.
I worked out when I raised the body for the tyre guy the cable must have pulled taught, so clambered under the pile of ■■■■■ and loosened it off, tested at Chester Services it was cool, so job done.
I don’t mind getting stuck on but no bugger thanks you for it, saving money and time.
sorry unlike me, an alcohol fueled rant about a rubbish day

For a minute there Drift, I thought you was going to have a blast about Harley bank hill in Shropshire

I can remember pulling a trailer from Stamford to Yorkshire once and didnt let them off properly I have to say the wheels were a tad warm.
