does anyone know who makes this type of trailer its a mix of euroliner and tilt and ive noticed a few of these latley appently alot of firms in germany and some here wont tip a trailer thru the back doors with a forklift unless theres boards at the bottom.
I believe that Vanhool manufacture similar trailers. They look like the ones that Smeets Ferry B.V operate. I think that Groeningen ( I think thats their name) make a Euroliner that has standard curtains but dropsides behind the curtain where the 3 lower boards would be placed as I pulled one for Estron B.V last week.
The one in your picture looks like a Schmitz. Your pic is known as a Euroliner
Here is Schwarzmuller’s variation on the same idea, They are both sliding roofs and can be folded up in about 20 minutes.
They are both able to be custom sealed for TIR. many curtain siders cannot even though they have a cord fitted
Keep an eye out for our Belgian registered trailers running from Purfleet.
adrian grey might know im sure thats what he has
If you use this link Carl it will take you to the web brochure and let you see the options in PDF.

The reason I suggested Schmitz was the front corner pillars and the angled profile. I like using the trailers but the metal boards are heavy and there are 5 in each bay
Trailer is a Schmitz, like Wheel Nut said the front corner pillers, plus it as a Schmitz badge (just see it) at the rear of the trailer in blue.
Krone trailers also makes these trailers and i think they are alot better then euroliner.
cheers guys top info there

No info on trailers Carl, but that is one helluva nice looking outfit there. I know the R series has it’s niggles like the bed setup etc, but it’s the smartest looking truck when it’s not overcooked with decor and lights in my opinion.
Edwards logistics had a load of them in Belgium, curtainsiders with drop down side-boards.
They were made by Krone, but kept falling apart,Krone trailers aren’t exactly well made.
A couple of them that came home were leaking air badly behind the palm couplings,it turned out that the hoses behind were only just on,finger tight!
You can still see the odd Edwards trailer in Europe, with a Willy-Bitz Actros in front of it.

It’s Pacton that make the trailers for Smeets and Dalessi pacton.nl/Home&langid=2, not Vanhool as I posted earlier.

I had a new Krone trailer that belonged to Euroute/Norfolk Line about 4 years ago and the emergency hose blew itself out of the union behind the palm coupling, luckily I was just crawling thru Brampton Hut services at the time, but it still nearly sent me thru the windscreen !.
I’ve seen this type of trailer made by Mammut in Dubai, Tirsan in Turkey to all the western trailer maufacturers, I wouldn’t consider Krone crap though, that’s what Wielton is for.
