Could be front of trailer towards the nearside or near the back just behind last axle or about half way back near trailer legs again all nearside and generally they’re red in colour.
It could be almost anywhere … no seriously that’s true …
It could be by the landing legs handle,
half way down trailer,
at the rear
on the off side
on the near side
even on the headboard …
The only certain place it wont be is INSIDE the trailer
your just gonna have to look for it

And it wont be in the cab either…lol
lol ok thanks
The most annoying position I have found one is high up on the front end, on the side of the airline/electrical connector box, beyond reach from the ground, so the only way to get to it is with the unit backed under to climb on. By the time I’ve got that far it is SOOO tempting to complete the coupling without getting out to check the trailer brake first. Naughty naughty…
I pull reefers so always split couple

Used to pull reefers & never split coupled
I don’t bother with reefers anymore. I was getting too paranoid.
What did you say?

Opps that a smacked wrist for Me, get out to check park brake before completing coupling behave, I’ve got work to do
I have tried coupling suzies on, whilst fully hooked up, but with the close coupled trailers we have I can’t get the right angle and strength in to do it, and get it wrong the pains in my back return
Our trailer brakes are mostly by the leg controls or the trailer suspension lever.
Companies that often have shunters seem to have the brake buttons on the headboard of the trailer next to the suzies .
