i work sundays every week and always finish mid morning or dinner time friday every week unless the job goes ■■■■ up and if i do finish late on a friday i only do monday to friday the following week.now thsi happened to me last week so only worked 5 dyas this week to get my hours right to work sunday.
so called in to find out what im doing 29th jan sunday.was asked to start at 5 am run to birkenhead pick up a loaded trl bring back to yard run another loaded one to immingham.then to scunny to pick my trl of steel for south wales for monday morning.no problem i said will get that done and down to my first drop on a 13hr day or 15 if the traffic is bad or job goes ■■■■ up.
so out i go this afternoon to nip overto fleetwood to see family and a 60th meal tonight.turn key of car and nothing start locks up so i tap it and try again even my nieghbour came out to help as he is a recovery guy.after a few minutes of tapping nothing but lots of smoke coming from the starter motor.so thats the weekend ■■■■■■ for me plus my sunday run aswell.
ring the office to inform them of my problem and that i could not get it fixed till monday if i was lucky as i do not owen any tools and ones i do use are my dads and over at my mums place in fleetwood.all i got off the lad in the office why u not tell me earlier so i could rearrange things then.told him i did not need to go out till the afternoon so why should i check my car everyday for him plus its not my fault i was not to know the starter was knackered.all i got was hassle saying he have to rearrange all the loads now and find someone else to do my jobs.
now im never late or have any time off at all and will do any work they give me whether its wide long or abnormal with out question.plus weekends out if need be all i ask is they give me time to get home to get clean stuff and the right amount of time off to cover my hours and early finish on the friday or what ever day i need to be finished.
lucky i rang a place my old man used to use for parts and they have a starter in so paid for it over the phone and brothers picked it up and is coming over with tools and jack to help me fitted on sunday.so text the office saying id be back on road fingers crossed early monday morning but was tolf to just coem in at 7am and take it from there and see what they have for me.
why the hell do we bother to be flexible only to be moaned at if something goes wrong at home or with ur car they never say thanks at the end of the day.apart from the odd ones who know what u do for them.
I don’t think he was moaning AT you. Just that he had to do more than he expected. Forget it. Enjoy yer’ Sunday off. HTH. 
Still a crap attitude though,it seems like your man is reliable and flexible and that’s what he gets.
It’s not a big deal is it but it is annoying.

Not everybody is 100% computer savvy. I’d noticed that also, but when there’s a list of things 2b fixed, its easy to do them 1 at a time. Patience Baggie, patience.
