hi all, after about a million attempts I finally got to have a chat with a nice lady at the DVLA. She said there would be no problem with my group 1 licence entitlements being reinstated but group 2 (hgv) may be a different story.
she was very sympathetic and I told her that I have the full support of my doctor. She told me that she doesn’t know the outcome of that decision, but there are very strict guidelines which may be a problem. She also told me that if the decision goes against me I could appeal to the traffic commissioner because it is usually conditions such as epilepsy or heart problems that are deemed as permanently unfit to drive and I don’t fall into that category.
does anyone know if that would be worth a try? does anyone know how I find out the details of the traffic commissioner so I don’t need to waste any time if I am refused and can get in touch straight away?
