Traditional Signwriting

I’m wondering if there are any fleets left who still use traditional “paintbrush and mahlstick” signwriting? Anyone got any pics if so?

i used to work for PJ O’kane. he had traditional sign writing on all his lorries.
and the firm was run by traditional values too.

most of wynnstay animal feeds are sign written but one or two does have plastic transfers, the three new volvo tridems are signwriten

I think I saw in a truck mag Crouch’s recovery use a proper signwriter.

Only ever had vinyl myself, what’s the situation when you come to sell and want to remove it? Does it wipe off with a solvent?

AFAIK Prestons of Potto still signwrite their units.

J R Adams who I’m working for now are mostly proper signwritten, see the pics in the old timers forum.
Unfortunately mine is just white with vinyl stickers :frowning:
