On the 303 today ,overtock a tractor, nothing new there I here you say, well this one was pulling a proper curtain sider, would that be classed as a hgv.
Regularly see one around Widnes pulling a 40’ fridge.
quite legal if its farm work…could be hauling straw and need it to be kept dry.

Unlikely; would think it could be poultry.
on the fens, they used curtainsiders to haul the veg off the fields
It amazes me tractor drivers allowed to haul two trailers, sometimes see a fasttrac on a14 hauling 2 giant muck spreaders.

No problem with that, probably see his mate either in front or behind towing a lowloader with the loading machine on moving from job to job. We used to do it with empty silage trailers between jobs when the next bloke wanted to help with the carting, or so one of the other tractors could tow the bowser/support trailer. All perfectly legal as long as neither trailer/spreader are carrying a load. the trailers we had had drop down tow hitches on the back with lights and brake couplings too.
