Tractor Unit Specs

My own Tomtom recently packed up so have invested in a Snooper s7000 Truckmate.

When selecting HGV it requires me to put in the specifications of what I am driving. At the moment this is all manner of rigid and tractor units. What I am looking for is the standard specs for tractor units.

I know the heights vary and the width is generally around 2.6m but what about the weight or the length?

I am planning on building up a data base of all the trucks I am driving so I don’t have to keep inputting different data on a daily, sometimes twice daily basis.

Any pointers to where I can find out what the weight of a tractor unit is and its length would be appreciated. Even company I collected one from couldn’t help me on that one.

Take a squint at the ministry plate and all will be revealed fella.
You’ll mostly find it nailed to the passenger door or behind the seat somewhere…it has to be easy to find because when the black hand gang tug you that’s what they’ll look at.

It won’t need to be too precise on anything but height as the vast majority of weight restrictions will be 7.ton and 18ton.

I’d stick 2.4m in for the width (unless you are running wide loads) or it might take you round the houses unecessarily.

I may be missing something here, but couldn’t you just measure the trucks you drive with a leverlock tape measure?
