I do hate a quiet end to the week, just when I thought I was going to get an easy early finish, I have drawn the short straw in regards to a traction only job for a local pallet network Friday daytime, a Double deck monstrosity to TPN at Minworth, not done this particular Hub before, so open to suggestions for the best way in please from M1 M6. Thanking you kindly!
Come off at junction 9, go through the village of Cudworth, you’re OK going through there with a decker, if you come off at spaghetti, you can follow the a38 but there’s a bridge when you get towards Minworth, it’s not marked but it looks so low, don’t like taking a decker under it!
M1/M6 onto M42 North leave at J9, left first exit at top of slip, left at next island, then about 2 miles along you’ll see a left slip road signed industrial estate, take that then it will be in front of you pretty much.
Owned by Stobarts now though so good luck
I see it’s right next to the sewage works, it smells of cabbages there, but they built a restaurant right opposite!
And thanks to all, J9 it is then
TPN Minworth is a cracking place to go to, it has to be one of the best hubs anywhere and from a truck driver’s point of view an example to the morons at Fradley Park about how it should be done. Totally organised, proper parking lanes, a yard marshal who calls out vehicles in order they should be, not just by where they’ve been parked up so you don’t need to worry about being abandoned in the corner. In the middle of the side of the building where the main parking area is are toilets and a canteen with snack machine and microwave.
Yeah…surprisingly easy for one of they pallet hub places!!
I had been before but with one of our own 4m euroliners, (had to strip it in the top yard and rebuild it after loading…don’t think they were impressed with it to be honest!) but had not been with a decker hence the request for a way in. I was in and out in 45 minutes so easy Friday maintained
