Why is it that they always want to join the motorway/dual carriageway without trying to match the speed of the vehicles already on the road?
Then when they do join, they wish to drive at 51-53mph.
Unless of course you try to overtake them.
In which case they then speed up to 60mph to make sure you cannot pass them.
Occasionally they will just match your speed to keep you in the middle lane.
Why?
Had an Aston Martin do that coming out of Sedgemoor services yesterday obviously didn’t have the power to pull away from my gas Volvo trundling along in lane 1 and matched my speed all the way till he ran out of slip road then proceeded up the hard shoulder for 100 yards before flooring it.

I don’t get it. Why do you want to drive so ■■■■■■ slow!

I don’t pull out to let cars go anymore and assumed as it was an AM it would be gone in a flash but I think he was still sipping on his frothy coffee and oblivious to anything around him !!
Not sure, but I think the 50mph thing with the Prius is to do with its optimum battery performance or something, something about charging whilst driving?
Still a pain in the ■■■…
Main thing that ■■■■■■ me off is when some tool merges right in front of you doing 5mph or so less than you, then just as you ease off or move out to overtake they put their foot down and disappear. THATS WHAT THE SLIP ROAD IS FOR YOU PLANK!!!
I call them Toyota PIOUS as drivers of these always seem to drive at 45 on single carriageways in any driving conditions, and love anchoring up on A roads to let out traffic from side roads. Quite often seen sporting a fish symbol.
You get a lot of taxi drivers pottering around town at 29 mph which is the highest speed a prius can go before the engine kicks in, annoying others especially in the middle of the night when you can crack on a bit more.

That explains why I’ve seen a few taxis dawdling under 30 in 40 limits. I thought they were fiddling the meter or too busy lecturing their passengers.
Seems that the Pious is the modern day Nissan Bluebird to taxi drivers of a certain origin.
