The FM7 18 tonner will stay as a spare, with regards to the new 58 plate we will wait and see if old Mick will be able to return to work,
if not we need a new artic driver!! At the mo though the work is being covered by the rest of us no problem but after Easter he needs that motor working!!
I don’t know if he has anyone lined up to take the job if it becomes avaliable!!!

andy do you know many of the general boys? my mate ali was on there, i think he still is, but i dont have his number anymore…

thanks guys top photos

I’m sure there is an Ali on for em Euromat will ask one of the boys!
Always nice to see Rob & his Scanny!
Who’s got the new Daf? was it Jesse or Wee Davie?

Hi jacko22 the man who drive the new XF105 is the same who drove the old DAF XF - W2 RTL.

I don´t know if you can see here.

One question about Rob and his Scania and Stage Truck Scania´s. He was driving for Atkinson & Sanders in the past? And that truck was from that company? I have seen a picture of this Scania in internet in Atkinson & Sanders blue the same like Stage Truck Scania. Anybody could explain to me what happended with this company.

The last time that I saw their trucks was in 2005 during a Mark Knopfler tour. And Rob was there. In the last year tour I saw Transam Trucking vehicles.

Yep the Redburn Scania belonged to Atkinson & Saunders & is driven by “Captain” Mark Phillips who also drove it on for Saunders, Stagetruck have the other 2 ex Saunders Scanias which are still in their old blue colours!
That piccie certainly looks like Davie Forbes in the Daf!
As for Rob Bailey he has been an owner driver for donkeys working for everyone -Redburn,Shirley,Fieldings,EM Rogers. Rob has owned that 480 since new, before that a144 & before that a danish 142

Don’t know the reason why Atkinson & Saunders finished but it wasn’t because of financial reasons
or anything like that they just finished, me bro could tell us- it’s a shame because they were a good outfit
worked with em a lot

Thanks for your reply jacko22.

And sorry I was thinking about “Captain” Mark Phillips not about Rob Bailey. There was a mistake. Sorry.

I have seen Rob Bailey trucks many times in Spain, first his old 4 serie and now his brand new R serie.

Atkinson Saunders finished because Richard Saunders had cancer and sold up just before he died.

His ex partner, James Atkinson hadn’t been anything to do with the company for years.
I think there were 4 ‘R’ series Scanias, Redburn had 1 and StageTruck the other 3.

The Redburn’s driver in the picture is definately Davey Forbes.
