I read somewhere on here its to do with Switzerland Vignette/Road tax thingy, it means “quiet” ■■?
Not sure as i’ve never been to switzerland ask an expert
I saw some pictures of Redburn trucks with “ATA” on the front, what does that mean ?
The L sticker is for low noise levlels in Austria!!
In event work like music, conference, exhibition etc, most of the time the equipment on the trucks is hired in from companys (sound, lighting, rigging etc). When the trucks travel to non EU countries an ATA carnet is used,
An ATA carnet is a temporary export booklet when a bond has to be placed with the customs to ensure the equipment is returned and not sold outside the EU,
The plate on the Stardes DAF is to show customs he is running on ATA carnet or its " Look at me i do Rock n Roll!!! "
Here’s a few old tour photos from the early 90’s .

How come Ronnie Fieldings Gold Centurian was often parked in Ongar by the river when the yard was only 10 miles away?
Always used to stop there when i was on my mum’s delvery round, got lots of pics some where. Also spotted in Holland at a hotel where we were staying with a school trip about 1994/5

Fieldings moved to Chelmsford in '96, when Ronnie retired and sold out.
Before then, our yard was by the side of the A13 in East Ham.
We had 3 units stolen from that yard so Ronnie would sooner I take it home, which suited me fine.
Also, the yard wasn’t big enough when all the lorries were back.
Oh i see. Thank you. I’ll try and find my photos, some where in a box i guess! Do you remember going to Nordwijk an Zee in Holland in the Early 90’s? i think the football euro championships were on because their were dutch orange supportive type things dangling every where and on every car!!
