I find it strange that low hitch on UK registered vehicles is almost exclusively a tour truck thing.
It’s all to do with maximising load space really

I can see why they do, I was more meaning that the rest of the industry isn’t doing that.
I would guess it’s down to who loads and where you do it.

a few of the general boys use them if its high bulk low weight stuff, one step beyonds mans are both ex DSV, theres also a company that was featured in one of the trucks on trials that was running low rides over to europe. laser, anchor vehicle logistics, Walker have an ex transam 06 plate.
some also run 6x2 lowrides which aint really that noticable, brian yeardley has a few, 2 formers are run by our very own globby480 who has ghostzapper & truestepper
I have just been given a low ride unit, we have just put 2 units and 3 trailers on the road, raising roof and side planks, mainly euro work for these so looks like I’ll be away more.

Are you in the Bella Center with the world music expo Jacko? Just got into Copenhagen on an expo myself. Here until Saturday but I’m in the centre of town. Good parking in the DSV compound at the Bella Center, I was there a couple of months back.
