Tossco Wag n Drag

Yous are saying a drawbar carrys 2 more pallets than a artic but a 18.75 drawbar carries 4 more britsh standard pallets than a artic

Cages wise a standard tesco is 45 tesco spec cages if a remember correctly, so a drawbar might get you to say 51 Tesco spec cages.

The wagon and drag that we have at tesco Dagenham that ive been trained up on does around 5 east Essex express stores a day.the whole outfit travels to a Colchester extra store to drop off the trailer then the prime does 2/3 drops at express stores and loads the recycling, returns to the big extra then recycling and remianingstock are transferred and the prime does 2 very local Colchester express loads the recycling recoupled at Colchester extra then the whole outfit returns to Dagenham D.C…normally 11/12 hr day

I don’t know how they continue to get away with carrying the recycling on the vehicle at the same time as the fresh produce. The instructions used to say that wet cardboard should be refused, but when you rang up traffic because the shop insists that you take it, then traffic tells you to do what the shop says. Those shrouds got in a filthy state.

Europleb says normally 11/12 hour day or 8 if they could use high range!

I’ve been doing Tesco work (for a subbie) out of Avonmouth since I left Virginia and its fantastic work, love it. Should have done this year’s ago. Now let me see if I can upload a picture of the drawbar I took a pic of in there the other day as I thought it looked really smart.

Its a good place to work, rich is a good boss who keeps his drivers.

Other drivers can say what they like Tossco, bean counting whatever, I know when I’m onto a good thing.

Don’t know where you are, but I get the impression the complaining is directed at Tesco Lichfield. Remember when they had a fire. I pretended I wanted a cigarette, got let out the front, hopped on the bike and left. Tried and failed to do a wheelie past the office girls

and nobody wants chilled bread etc.

This happened surprisingly often with Gist delivering to M&S. Also almost got killed by a cage of milk. Should’ve stayed on that job, because shelf stacking pays so much more than driving… :unamused: :grimacing:

On our pay rates it would cost us too much if we tear arsed everywhere

Why call them ‘Tossco’? Is it because theyre deemed not to employ proper ■■■■■■■■■ fat as [zb] ruffy tuffy drivers and dont buy blinged up eminox’d Scanias?

Simple answer is they know nothing about Tesco and their Drivers T&Cs other than they carry groceries and that their wagons make them take their heavy right boot of the floor when they get up behind them, doing the legal speed limit.Hence due to the latter they are called Tossco 20 +years ago I did agency for them, nothing changed much in regards to adhering to speed limits, didnt pay you to speed even then.
Breaks where scheduled in to each days work, and you took them either at a store or back at the RDC
