Facebook is a medium for people with very little intelligence to tell other people with equally small amounts of intelligence how great their life is, while they all sycophantically comment in a completely disingenuous way.
I would ban FB tomorrow if I could, as it is one of the biggest wastes of time anywhere.
Yet here you are on a public forum thats isn’t that much different from Facebook .
If you take the time to check it out properly you’d see what i mean . Facebook is nothing like it used to be believe me i would’nt be on it if it were .
There are two parts to Facebook , there is the part where YOU post stuff ( Thats could be things like "ive got a big tele " ) and then there is the stuff others post ( which could also be crap ), BUT if you use it in a way that fits in with your interests you can get something from it the two parts can be and are seperate from one another.
You can even use it as a diary kind of thing if you so wish and you would have no need to read anything anyone else posts .
Ive tried several times over recent years to get into Facebook and just didnt get it until they changed it to what it is now , yes there is crap and yes it can be trouble but you have the option to block those that ■■■■ you off and you can filter it so it works for you .
P.S it also is a good way of saving or storing photo’s , its much quicker and i think far better than photobucket . I have a seperate Facebook account that is only used by me to store photo’s , no one can see it and nothing can be posted on it its used only for photo storage .

No your totally wrong, Facebook is a place where you can stay in contact with friends old and new and family members without having to phone them . If your having posts that you don’t like YOU have the power to block that person, you can even block the persons posts and still keep them in your friend list, it’s all down to your security settings, If your an old ■■■■ that still lives in the 1950’s then fb ain’t for you, but don’t knock fb cos you think it’s fashionable

Who wants to know what your old mate Joe did down the pub - unless it was get into a fight… Who gives a toss if he just had a pint?

There was never any need to make life so complicated that you can’t find any meaningful messages hidden throughout all that auto-play guff that facebook thrusts in your face every day. I’m talking about the “People you may Know” - Yeh right! Invitations to do just about anything - all bullcrap, no one actually invited me to do anything, or I’d have had a phone call with an actual person speaking to me!
Facebook is OK to use as a seat in the middle of piccadilli circus, but that’s about it.
Facebook is full of scammers and those idiots,(mainly Americans living up to what we believe they are,ie thick as 2 short planks) thinking there going to win an ipod or an ipad.

Whats an over reaction ? Me saying you tube links should be banned? Its been mooted before, and seeing how you tubes policy of language doesn’t quite match our own i can’t see a valid reason for allowing them.[Thats my own personal opinion]. As a moderator it means i have to look at them to make sure they’re ok. So i have to go to an external site and make sure it doesn’t break out rules.Seeing as most of them are just a short clip of crap it makes you wonder if its worth it.
But some of you guys get even funnier !!! You just couldn’t make it up if you tried. So lets see…
