I blame 3 things.
job centre putting unemployed through lgv training for free.
influx of eastern Europeans with Kellogg licences. (They will work for peanuts and not whine)
government inflation, people cannot afford to turn work down and companies know this.
number 1 has been happening for the last nearly 40 years and it keeps driving schools in business

Lol, I do still work for the afore mentioned company. So I still have an interest as I may be required to continue ,as you put it, scabbing. Which is utter tosh as I am not a Tesco driver, and they do not wish to work for stobart. Therefore why I am called a scab I do not know. I am not entitled to strike with them, so I will continue to do the job I am assigned with. Thank you for being so grown up about it.
Are you one of the affected drivers? If so, could you enlighten me to the reason you are striking?

The Irony is they are still happy to wear that uniform when they are not striking huh…lol, ■■■■ that makes me chuckle when your in the drivers waiting room and you have a bunch of ex tesco drivers slagging you as you come in and they are wearing the greens themselves, talk about hypocrites !
i think all tesko drivers will be in the green uniform before long ,

Look at agencies, even they are getting away with paying less than 10 squids an hour.
I hear driver’s saying ’ I wouldn’t get out of bed for less than £10ph.
Satchels! If you lost your job and needed to put food on the table for your family, Would you turn round and say ‘I ain’t getting out of bed for that wage pal, my family will have to go without’The only jobs that pay well are rightly mentioned ‘dead man’s shoes’ jobs.
If you get one of those, super, keep it.
If your not lucky enough to have one then join the rest of us and get on with what you have.Everyone wants an extra £1 an hour, in my opinion it’s not going to happen whilst the 3 above reasons are still there.
I’m sure someone will disagree. But that’s my thoughts, for now anyway

and 1 more.every years more and more drivers who was working for class 2,or 7.5 tonne drivers want pass for class 1 and start drive.because now class 1 much more esy,much more clean job.more hard just reversing.any person who was working for class 2 drivers or 7.5 tonne and was do multidrop for 7 pound p/h.and if he pass test for class 1 and found job all this drivers will be happy work for 7 pound for class 1,and him will be relax job driving arctic lorry.
and my forecast -in next 5-10 years in driving industry come to many,many lady,some 10-20 pecent of class 1 drivers will be lady.and they will be do some much better for man
