Great , if it ■■■■■■ all those who sent the ee families packing in the first place I’m all for it .

you mean the greedy who left once the money was better back at there home ? why do you dream these people come here for any other reason that money ? they didnt care about coming here in there millions and the problems that would cause they came out of greed and i have seen many of our own people not getting work as the work would be given to the eu lot first as they were put up in the agencys rental places so they needed to cover those costs first before giving out work to home grown people, you really do want to inflict all that kind of crap onto your fellow brits out of some kind of vitural signaling clap trap

To be honest I think Dozy is a very clever, very intelligent troll rather than being genuinely dim-witted. I even think all of the spelling and grammar mistakes are deliberate and that he is almost certainly capable of composing a comprehensible sentence in the English language should he choose to. I think this is all an act.

I concur. If he is as we say it’s a masterful spot of trolling as he’s taken almost everyone in, including me until recently

I sussed him a long time ago. In fact, it was my (admittedly incessant :grimacing: ) calling him out on it, the secured my invitation to the exclusive members club on this forum…

This whole situation stinks, and it isn’t a shortage of drivers.

It’s hard to tell without data - have oil imports fallen? Refineries output decreased? Overall consumption increased? Oil tankers waiting to be unloaded at the ports because refineries are full and can’t get deliveries out to make space? Who knows

The UK ‘exported’ 290,000 barrels of crude oil ‘per day’ in April, 232,000 per day in May and 190,000 in June for what it’s worth.
Up to around a week ago we had no problems at the pumps this week we do.
Strangely just after the UN said that we have to ‘redouble’ our efforts to cut our CO2 emissions by forcing the EV revolution on sceptical car buyers and petrol consumers faster and more effectively.
Nothing about capping UK oil production and exports like the 5.3 million tonnes shipped to China, 2.3 million tonnes to South Korea, and another 17.5 million tonnes exported via Rotterdam in 2020 for example.

Can I please add,
all this nonsence of queues at petrol stations is MEDIA HYPE,
let’s create a real DRAMA to frighten the public
AND it seems that it’s working.

Same happened with the China Flu

I read somewhere today that the Government are going to write to all HGV licence holders in the country, to try and persuade the inactive ones (me being one) to come back into the industry.
I’m REALLY looking forward to sending my reply! It might involve some copying and pasting from some of the related threads on here…

I’ve been quoted 3k to do C+E+CPC. Not the cheapest and defo not the most expensive, but they’re a well thought of credible training company, so that’ll do me…Now it’s just a matter of finding 3k :open_mouth:

Get an interest free fixed term credit card, nobody is going to give it too you for free, OH unless you can get a good job coach at the universal credit to help you out etc…

Is that 3 grand for a pass first time? What if it takes 3 goes to pass? That’s another grand. What if you run out of money after your 3rd fail? That’s 4 grand down the toilet and nowhere furthur forward.

MR Negative give it a break lad

I don’t agree with JeffA on much, especially as he’s a whinging remoaner who is benefitting from increased wages, but on this, there is a national pass rate of around 56%. Unless of course they’ve dumbed down this test too…

Probably over stating things to be fair. Everyone gets angry sometimes. And yes, I’ll obviously be in right frame of mind for ‘artic’ driving (can you be angrier as a rigid driver?) as once I can drive all the stress has gone, imagine that!

Sorry to hear that. I don’t.

Actually the benefits in the uk are by far the lowest in europe.

You offer to pay them through the license plenty will do it.

I don’t doubt for a second that our benefits are amongst the lowest in Europe. Just look at the way we vilify our pensioners and chronically ill and you’ll gather that.

What is undeniable however is that we have a massive underclass of professional scroungers who’ll never contribute.
, their offspring will never contribute and their offspring too. They know exactly how to work the system to their benefit ( pardon the pun)

These are hangers on that I and presumably you are grafting our arses off to keep in the manner that they’re accustomed to.

As for paying for their licences it’s worth noting that governments don’t actually have any money, so who exactly would pay this?

Arguments differ on this subject, some saying there isn’t this vast army of people out of work, ready and eager to work. Me, I’m inclined to agree with you. I see quite a few faces locally that I know are able bodied but don’t work for one reason or another. Mental health being invisible could be the golden ticket for these unscrupulous individuals, that don’t see contributing to the society they live in as something they wish to subscribe to. Perhaps our bitterness and resentfulness should also be directed towards tax dodgers and other individuals who engage in all manners of illegal activities to fund their lifestyles also.

Absolutely ^^^^. Imagine how full the coffers would be f the shysters of Amazon, Google et al actually paid a fair amount of tax? Benefits are a drop in the ocean in comparison.
