I was chatting with a chap today who said he’d been in contact with a firm who would train him up to CE from scratch (so C then CE) for 2 grand, with a job at the end paying 30k and rising after a year. Now I thought that sounded pretty good…if the job is for real!
The guy isn’t going ahead for reasons that aren’t important so I said give them a ring and say you’ve got a mate (ie me) who has just passed his test (I haven’t yet but hopefully will soon) who would be interested in the job. If it’s for real, great stuff, but if it’s a ruse to get him to part with his 2k then surely there’ll be all kinds of excuses.
Anyway, what do you lot make of this? A bit fishy?
Would be interesting to know the outcome of the conversation.
Someone on the forum has a strap line - “if it looks too good to be true, it probably is”.

Just a bit.
You’d be hard pushed to find a driving job these days in this industry for a newby thats earning £25k+ nevermind 30 plus. I highly doubt any of it is true
