TomTom Rip Off

Seasons greetings to one and all, please listen to my tale.
Of how the nasty sat-nav firm rips off its user base!
As you probably all do, I regularly plug me old sat-nav in to the website most weeks, to clear its memory and look for updates.
Each and every time I do along comes the reminder to suggest ‘your maps have not been updated since Black Bess rode to York,’ and now is the time, so, I weakened and allowed TomTom to sell me the ‘latest, most accurate maps’!
Bloody big mistake! I am now the proud posseser of older maps than Columbus used.
It has now taken the joint efforts and myself, and PayPal to recover the payment back from TomTom, because basically if they sell you defective maps it’s tough!
So if you have an urge to go out and splurge on a new sat-nav, or buy new maps from them PLEASE think very hard!
If anyone else has had similar experiences I look forward to hearing them.
Pray that Santa aint using TomTom!

Just get latest maps from navitotal.com or similar sites’all for free

I’ve just got the very latest TT Truck map, with it’s accompanying Navcore, and have done it for 5 friends as well, all for the price of an SD card.

Beware though, as it’s difficult to get them for TT’s made after 2010 as the systems are more difficult to hack. At the moment…

My only real gripe with tomtom is that they don`t sell a lifetime update for their products
Whereas Garmin do, they issue map updates 4 times per year which is why for my Zumo 660 I have a lifetime subscription.
I just wish Tomtom would follow suit

my tom toms been in the kitchen drawer for the last 6 months, i find the free navigation on my S3 is loads better, google maps is pretty accurate
