Where can I get a new battery for a TomTom One (Maplins?) and how do I change it?
I presume the four torx screws need to come out but then what? Is is soldered in or a push-on connection?
Tips and help welcome!

Yep,take out the torx screws, then very carefully prise the back cover away at the bottom and remove slowly. The battery is mounted in the the back cover. It connects to the pcb by short wires fitted with a tiny multi-plug connector.
A label on the battery in mine has the following on it:-
Model: JAC Edinburgh
Spec: Maxell 653443 1100mAh
Vendor: Foxlink
S/N 722FMO25315
Probably Maplins would be the best bet for one.I asked recently at Halfords and was just given a blank stare and then offered a new TomTom as it was reduced by £20
Ta, I will open it up in the morning and see if I can get a battery locally…lost without it!

Maplins don’t sell them but I found one on ebay. Managed to get the old one out, thanks for the advice.
