Hi I’m hoping for some assistance with TomTom web fleet eco plus and TomTom link 510 can bus connections. I have two trucks fitted with TomTom web fleet for normal fleet management compliance for a major customer. Recently we fitted and connected each of the tracking devices up to the vehicles FMS interface.
This should allow fuel, rpm, carbon, speed and idle type reporting directly from the vehicles engine. Installation was followed as per instructions by TomTom however no data is being delivered.
TomTom has second level support enquiries going on for me however I’m in Australia and they are in Germany.
The difficulty lies in the vehicle being a kenworth t409 2012 model with a ■■■■■■■ Isx engine. I have confirmation that whilst this truck is not a European model it is infact FMS enabled. There fore it should work 100% and provide live engine data. The TomTom requires fms and connects via can hi/lo wires.
Upon hook up to the canbus tomtom recognises connection to fms but fails to go any further. I was hoping any UK based experience with this problem might be able to help? I can use the diagnostics software to confirm the successful hookup to the truck but no data flows out and is read by the TomTom link tracking device.
Apologies if this is not the right forum however TomTom web fleet as I understand it is widely used by trucking companies in the UK. Maybe not kenworth however nut still hoping someone can shed any light on my problem?
