Of course not, it’s a waste of time posting anything in the computer forum.
Just goto the bluetooth settings on the tom-tom and do what it tells you, just as simple as connecting a headset to your phone.
After the run araound i have had with a 920t i would just put it back in its box and throw it away!
The setting relie on an internet connection to work. I had 4 920’s none of them worked properly.
Took it back and now have a Garmin – not a day of problems since i got it, better routing too.
Tom Tom in my opinion C**p

Check that Bluetooth is enabled on the Tomtom and the phone, on the Tomtom menu go to "Mobile phone " / “Manage phones” / “Find other phones” then just follow the directions to pair the phone with the Tomtom.
This is for a Tomtom 910 but I imagine the menu is the same on all Tomtoms.
Also if you haven’t already, you may want to check your phone networks charges for data downloads, unless used wisely it can use up your phone credit
Good luck.

I’ve had a Tomtom 910 for some time now and had no problems with it.
Why would you need an Internet connection to use Bluetooth
Still think they are rubbish, However to use the live traffic and weather updates they use the phone’s internet link via bluetooth to update. Maybe the ‘10’ models were better a friend has no hassle with his.
Just to say i find the garmin better in routing and general use.
My 910 has been ok so far.
Giblsa,is the Samsung D900 a good 'phone, thinking about getting one?

i think it is ok for what i want it for, i dont use phones much for music but the camera on it is quite good and it does have some good features on it, i have heard about a lot of people having problems with the screen but its like anything if you dont treat it right it will break (like almost anything),
im quite impressed with it so far, it has only reset itself once for some unknown reason but i seem to get better signal on it than my other phones i have had.
if you were thinking about getting one anyway then get it mate. they are quite good phones. i used to swear by nokia but my D900 has changed that now (even though samsung sponsor Chelsea ‘spit’!)

That’s interesting as I moved away from Nokia a couple of times but have always come back to them. Is the Samsung menu as straightforward as the Nokia setup??
(Sorry to be ‘off-topic’).

its a little bit confusing in the menu’s and there is somethings you can do with a nokia that you cant with this one (like change the sms tone, you only have a choice of 4 and they are ■■■■) but once you have messed about with it for about 10 minutes its quite straight forward really
Cheers Giblsa.
I’ve only ever had Nokias except for one short disaster with a Motorola.
by the way, i have just spent the last three hours searching on the internet and finally i have found an answer to the original question…
you cant do it using O2 pay as you go…
nice one O2!!!
just thought other people out there might like to know
