The flamin thing switches itself off for no apparent reason 
Sometimes this is preceeded by a green screen with a battery/level ( 
) symbol on it, sometimes not.
Does anybody have any idea why this would happen or have had this occur to their own units ?
i once similar to this happen to my 910. the guy at tt told me something had become corrupted and to try :-
1.copy and paste the contents to my computer as a full back up.
2.then copy all the yellow folders to another file.
3.reformat the device
4.copy all the folders back onto it
5.content to tomtom home and download the latest updates.
if it all goes ■■■■ up you can put it back to the start by copy pasteing the back up you’ve already made
it worked on mine, hope this helps
it could be the mount that is faulty and not making proper connection with the unit a new mount may be in order
