My Tom Tom let me down this week and stopped working. I contacted their support on Wednesday and they sent me instructions on how to fix it, but as it looked complicated I got our Dan on the case.
The upshot is that instead of formatting the files they told us to we formatted and wiped the whole card.
Can I copy a mates card and use it in mine?
no you can’t as the map acctivation is locked to the units I’d number. yiull need to get tomtom to send yu a new card
when you get the card make a back up either by showing hidden files and copying the card to you hdd or via tthome
this goes fir anyone use a sat nav such as a tomtom or navman

did they not say reset it? sometimes mine goes dead,wont load or do owt,if you look under the thing near where it clips in the cradle there is a small hole a pin pushed in there will reset it…
