tom tom go 500

Hi everyone,
wondered if any one can help? I have a tom tom go 500 with the Great Britain plus map that was included with the unit. I have added different poi, Low bridges, cameras etc and seem to be running out of room.
I have bought another SD card and wondered if anyone knew how to copy the data from the original onto the new card? I can then use the original as a spare and also add more maps etc to the bigger card.

Thanks in advance

Dave

I don’t know for definite, but if you’ve got a card reader plugged into your PC, I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to copy it using that. You can copy anything else using a PC, so I can’t see why not.

This should help

yes you can copy the sd card and we always recommend doing one the best way is to use a card reader in put the card in the reader then in MY COMPTUTER right click and go to properties go to view and then make sure SHOW HIDDEN FILES has a check next to it if no click the box next to it to check it then apply and ok

you can now completey back up the sd card it will also alow you to copy to new sd card just copy and paste

Thanks everyone…

I bought a card reader from Argos
Read the files on the original, made a new folder, copied files to this folder changed cards and then copied them onto new SD card.
Couldn’t have been easier - Thanks to everyone for your help.
