im looking for any photos of anthony todd and son of wolsingham for my brother in law, as his dad used to work for them many moons ago sadly my father in law harry hail passed away last year and we have lots of photos of him from when he worked for bonds foundry which he did till he retired he also drove for dinky davis, banks and quite a few others but we have no photos of todds so any help would be much appreciated :smiley:

I am glad you have started this thread as I was thinking about Anthony Todds the other day, I was born in Wolsingham and lived there for the first 11 years of my life before we moved to Consett. I can remember Todds they were green and grey and tippers they had a garage on Lydgate lane unfortunately I do not have any photo’s of their vehicles but I have a contact in Wolsingham you may have some I will try and look him up and see if he has any. regards prattman.

I contacted the lad I know at Wolsingham he says he has not got any photo’s although he has been in touch with Anthony Todds grandson who was not very forthcoming, his father who I guess would be Anthony Todds son lives down in Dorset so trying to source any photo’s from him would be difficult. I know of another ex-haulier from Wolsingham I don’t know him personally but a good friend of mine is friendly with his son so I asked him the other day if could ask him if he had any photo’s of Todds, I have not heard back from him yet I will contact him later today. Larry mentioned about there being some photo’s on here I gone all the way through Past and Present and in Between in Pictures and could not find any I also tried all the Foden threads and could not find anything, is there anybody out there who might know what thread these photo’s are on if so lets us know. regards prattman.

i think your best bet could be the old n e thread or scrapbook memories prattman or even old coal men of the 60s , cheers , dave
