Today's deliberate error

This is actually the second time in just a few days that I’ve found this particular howler during pre-use checks of an already coupled-up outfit. The vehicle in question had just returned from a round-trip to Exeter and back…

I’m guessing the ABS warnings didn’t make them wonder if they’d got it wrong

Relax…

I bet there’s half a dozen on here who won’t spot it.

Driver before you who had it is a right plum.

It won’t put a warning up, running with the abs line off will get rid of any warnings on the dash

Our DAF’s warn you if you’re running unit only that the EBS lead is not attached. I just assumed it would do it on others as well

Ah maybe they’ve changed it on the newer ones. I had a 95XF years ago that didnt put warnings up

I’ve made that mistake once but on starting up I realised my error and rectified it before moving anywhere.

Obviously, when the lead is properly ‘parked’ in its holder, it does look as if it is connected. Murphy’s law indicates that it should really be obvious at a glance.

Wheres the blue line?

Wheres the blue line?

Can’t see any taps either :open_mouth:

Used to get this all the time at my place of employment, the sockets have now been modified with a big bolt so the lead can not be removed from the unit without a spanner.

Taps :open_mouth:

I got asked to move a trailer in a customers yard q few weeks back. Had time and they’re sound to me always so I said yeah sure. Then they said that I’d need these taps. Right blast from the past

Toonsy think you meant palms not taps. Taps were built into the connections on the unit.
