I would say it was karma.But Iâve had the keys to a 63 plate G440 this week, and the heater control is on a curly lead, but no matter how hard I tried, the temp wouldnât go above 10 degC.
Whatâs that all about.

Temperatures just graded 1 to 10, not in degrees, set on 3 does me for overnight.
Timer is a doddle to use, and big easy to read display as well as alarm function.
One of these? Never figured it out yet - over complicated load of tosh to be honest. Unless you know how to use it??

the top left button is the timer if i remember it flashes up with the day off the week press ok on said day set time then set temp use the pluss and minus buttons to scroll through the options
you can set the heater to come one three times over a day
i hope this is some help i havent used a scania in over a yr and i do miss coming in on monday morning to a nice warm cab in winter

I like the truck an oldy but a goldie, though on the grapevine I am hearing about a possible upgrade next year if things go well.But I aint letting this remote heater monster beat me
How stupid can a driver be â â ?
. Press 3-4 seconds for on/off like any webasto controller unit. Temp can be set in 10 steps on the controller. 1-10 going through the pressing the button in the middle. Then use the < ans > to set it, 3 or 4 is usually okay. up again to confirm. Rest is timer. Works like a Webasto timer except it says Scania on it and is not small and black. Most simple thing in the world
Normally if itâs still stuck on full heat itâs the valve behind the front mask under the wiper mounted on the coolant hose thatâs stuck. A knock or 2 on it and it will work like a charm again.
No wonder trucking is taking over by east Europeans with drivers having problems like this

Let me try this patronising thing, its clearly not that the most simple thing in the world now is it. You took 8 lines to describe how it works. Let me tell you how mine works-
Press heater switch, turn dial to adjust heat.
A bit simpler no?
I remember those controllers, heaps of overcomplicated crap.
Same on my Volvo. Switch it on set temp. done!

Nah! Somebody else did it when I was off thats why I wanted to get it sorted and I have now thanks to â27â!
An on/off temp switch would have done the same but they couldnât charge enough for that! I used to have no problems with the Volvo one
