To stop or not

News of more motorway calamity this morning, M5 J9-11

Again no news on condition of those involved, it’s easy to assume the worst for the driver of the 2nd lorry. Hope that isn’t the case.

It does raise the point however on when to stop and help and when not to. I was reminded of a radio news snippet from Friday of a guy protecting a car on the M25.

Nice outcome here but I did think at the time how easy it would have been for him to explain the delay / stopped on motorway to his bosses assuming it was noticed at the time. I’m sure they were happy with the media mention now the lass has gone public giving her thanks. If he managed clear a 45 while there then at least his next drop wasn’t delayed.

Perhaps if signs and diversions are already up, then its too late to stop, however, m if it was 3 vehicles ahead or the wheels of the overturned vehicle are still turning then that is a completely different matter and a refresher on where the first aid kit might be!.
