I did 12months with them through an agency (there is no way I would work for that sort of money). Work is easy, kit is maintained well enough. The hours can be incredible. There wsa a lot of sitting around in the middle of the day wich enabled us to use the 8hr/4hr split rest almost on a daily basis. I clocked up 70+hrs over 5 days regularly.
Their driver turnover is terrible. At the depot I was at that was mainly due to them being promised £X00 a week and actually failing to earn anything like the that.
newsfast is supposed to be there best contract ? but dont do nights for them, wellingboro leeds manchester wellingboro and thats tipping and reloading every time…

4 on 2 off…but still wont tell me the ££££s…(asked twice now )
.does this make any difference
think not
the £££ depends on what depo you work out of,different contracts have different rates

think its st. helens/haydock way…and nights
each site has there own rates mate in corby northants the rate is around £6.50 per hour plus early start bonus over time and all the extras, but down the road at wellingboro it can be over £8.00,still with the extras
Dave, I’m not surprised they’re being a bit coy about the money. Make sure you get a full breakdown of how they’re going to pay and what they’re going to pay before you start. As I said previously, I lot of guys where I was were told one thing in interview but never earned anywhere near that amount for real. You wouldn’t believe the number of guys who worked for them for less than a month and this was purely as a result of the promise and actual pay disparity.
I dont like the sound of 4 on 2 off.
When you work it out you very rarely get a weekend off.

Need a Philadelphia lawyer when you’re working for that lot…
