In my day a night out down Newcastle’s Big Market (or Quayside) was the best night out ever, do not know what it is like today.
That is where all the young’un hang out
There are much better places to drink in Toon with less hassle
Last count a few years back there were 52 pubs in the City Centre
I was young went I ventured down the Big Market, I thought that there would have been more pubs in Newcastle. In those days Viv Graham was the top man in Newcastle and the night clubs I visited were Walkers and Tuxedo.
Also Billy Robinson was 1 of the top men
Viv was murdered a few years back on his own patch New Years eve
