Is an “outside” transport manager meant actually to spend 8 hours per week on a 1-2 vehicle o-licence. Or is he just meant to ensure that he is available for those 8 hours if needed. How often does your TM visit you or your o-centre in person?

I think that provided a haulier remains compliant and stays under the radar, the TC doesn’t spend too much time investigating how many hours and minutes the TM spends at his duties. It can appear difficult to understand how a TM could possibly spend eight hours a week ensuring compliance for a one-vehicle operation, although of course time spent reading Commercial Motor and on TruckNet does count towards this. :stuck_out_tongue:
