and so do starlings.they also like those fatty wee balls that you get bags of in the pound shop…for a pound.remember the wee birdies on nights like these and leave them a wee nibble or two…lob your old sarnies across the msa carpark and give those seagulls a treat before they get all soggy.

I was just remarking on how it might be a nice thought to consider our indigenous population of feathered friends in such inclement weather…was the title somewhat misleading/,or just your smutty mind…

Well to add to this thread, I spend a lot of money on bird food and bird feeders, because the ■■■■■■■ squirrels were pinching most of it and breaking the feeders into the bargain.
I got to be quite paranoid about it, how to stop those ■■■■■■■ squirrels?
GOT IT!
I greased the pole up to the feeding stations and it’s put an instant stop to the ■■■■■■■ tree rats.
No sooner had I put the grease on, one adult squirrel jumped onto the pole and gently slid down, pure comedy.
They learn very quickly and don’t bother trying now, but the younger one’s still try occasionally, but soon give up.
I took a short video which shows the usual family of tree rats in the garden, and a couple of attempts by the youngsters to get up the pole.
They now spend a lot of time looking up hungrily at the bird feeders, then go back to grubbing on the ground.

love the video bb , my son has his feeder under a tree so that wouldn’t work . his solution was a dedicated peanut feeder on the fence away from the feeder , squirrels go for the easy option .dave
