The Austria county TIROL HAS PASSED
a new BAN which effects all those passing through
on their way to ITALY, as of the 1st NOV2006 the following
vehicles will not be allowed to drive ,LORRIES who do not have a
EURO ENGINEalso those fitted with a EURO-1 engine,
IN addition when the levels of air pollultion are above
a certain level all LORRIES fitted with EURO-2 engines
will be told to park up or not allowed in to TIROL until
these levels have dropped,
The EU will be takeing the matter of the BAN
to the court and also Germany and Holland
are on the side of the EU,
What IS HAPPENING HERE IN Germany
is that many firms are buying new lorries any way
due to the MAUT BEING cheaper for the EURO
–5 ENGINED VEHICLES;so this will only effect those who
run the older vehicles
Another point here is that the DUTCH firms are buying
new trucks with the EURO-5 ENGINE as they are
getting a rebate ,
WHAT will this mean for those vehicles who use the train
from wörgl and are not euro engine or euro-1 will they be
allowed to still use the train,if not this means more costs
for both the transporter, person whose load is being carried,
and the end customer ,as the price of goods wil have to rise
to pay the more costs,
IF THIS BAN is allowed to remain will it effect
you or your firm as to which way you travel.
