This S 36 was 24 Tonnes Gross when new, The lengthend & uprated to 28 Tonnes giving a pay load of 19 Tonnes. This was photographed when it returned from the testing station after being re-plated.

This F 7 is still used to-day for internal work at Grain Storage Co in Scotland.

Daf tipping on seaforth dock Liverpool .

This Clydesdale Tipper was Ex Hamblyn Animal Feed Ltd, I bought It from Checkley Commercials Uttoxetor, We ran it a long time when a four wheeler could earn good money, 10.90. Payload. When working for Tilcon, any small loads, say 4 Tonnes Etc we got them but got 10 Tonne minimum, & this was a regular thing, so light loads but also light on fuel, we earned good revenue off 4 wheelers in the good old days, Now what ? Im glad to be retired & out of it, its a real shame really because there was was good money to be made with a lot less hassle, I dont doubt the way the Hauliers a being treated to-day, if I may say so is bloody awful, the country needs the Haulage Industry otherwise things would come to a standstill, Regards Larry.

Hi Larry,
