About 5 years ago we used to get these FOC from the weighbrides as it was an ‘elf n saftee’ issue and we all had to be super-careful not to run around with frayed straps or old bits of rope in case we killed ourselves or something.
Mine is looking shabby and none of the quarries have got them anymore. I guess now everyone’s got a super-dooper autosheet they aren’t required.
I still need one though, any idea where I can get one? Rachets straps for low-loaders etc. are no good. I need one with an empty ‘loop’ where a normal ratchet would have a hook and a carabina in the loop at the other end. I’ve googled it and all I’m getting is low-loader type ones, even the RHA only do those. Anybody?
You could try our lot, Hammer; We’ve probably got some in the stores from when we replaced them with auto sheets; Still got bits for old Fodens about apparently so they’ll probably have some of these aswell. call 01869 331281 ask for Tim Norridge, Workshop Manager.
Our bulkers have reverted to the old crank-handle type and we use those type of straps. Since Pridens do all our bodies they’ll no doubt have the straps or know a man near you who does.

Thanks GG, I need to sort this out but I was working late tonight, which was quite a to my system
How come you’re going back to the old type of sheets? Electric ones too much hassle?
