well since the truck aint come back from the paintshop , i may aswell finish a job i have been putting of finishing now for over 3months , and finish polishing to a mirror finish the exhaust elbows sections before we weld them onto the up right parts of the exhausts, these elbows arrived to mwe in a dull/satin pitted affect and they have took some major buffing out, they still aint finished yet but at least a couple more hours "if i can be bothered " to bring up 100%
this is the stuff i use on stainless and alloyto get upto a mirror finish, a bench grinder and buffing mops and soaps,
i also have a big 3 phase electrical motor what has a gearbox to alter the speed and a long flexi drive motor “suhner its called” just need a 3 PHASE CONVERTOR NOW AS I NO LONGER have 3 phase access
a bit more polishing/buffing and the results are coming, after around 3 hrs, think you will get the idea how the finsh was when i bought the elbows now??
BOTH ELBOWS NOW COMPLETE ON THE 1ST STAGE of polishing with the brow/black soaps, this is the 2nd stage now white/green soaps and a softer mop to get a vbetter shine for the 1st stage,
2nd stage on this is now done 3 rd stage is a blue or red soap, to remove the finer scratches and to bring up to a mirror finish “if i can be bothered” then a bit of lime to remove all the left over polish, and a bit of solvol to finish of, then its time to weld them up and polish the burn out of the weld afterwards ,
so this is what you need to cheat and get a good mirror finish shine a bench grinder, a good powerfull drill, mops and soaps now wheres mi mate kindle for the wheels
bloody hell look at the shine you got out of that!!! when i first see the pictures i thought your wasting your time, then my gaw hit my lap to see the after pix!!
job welldone there fella
hi steve, no mate the stacks or should i say just the pipes i bought which come already polished, but they have been sat at the top of the garden now for over 4 mths
